The RussLock^® knife is a pattern that was named after Case founder, J. Russel “Russ” Case. This pattern features a liner lock mechanism, along with a gimped lever for convenient one-hand opening. The Clip blade on this durable folding knife is commonly used as a multi-purpose utility blade and is preferred for detail work. This knife is constructed with Case Tru-Sharp™ stainless steel which is a special high-carbon steel that helps the blades hold an edge longer than conventional steel. It also offers extraordinary blade strength and corrosion resistance. Comes conveniently packaged in a box. Made in Bradford, PA, USA from domestic and imported materials.

Countless hours of study, research, trial and error, and divine blessing, over a period of twenty years, went into the product development for what we now call Dichrolam. The patterning techniques took years of experimentation and hundreds of iterations to master, and have the ability to enhance the vibrant colors within the 3 dimensional swirling texture – creating a core layer that is not metal, but magically reflects color which transitions at different viewing angles, a thin film physics quality known as dichroism.

Black Sea

First patterned in 1999, this burl texture uses “blue” dichroic film. It is defined by its dominant deep blues and greens, interspersed with orange and red veins. Black Sea is a challenge to control in regard to the pattern and color concentrations. So, as with real wood, there is variation – some areas have tight “cells” with red streaks, and some are wavy blue and green.
